1916-1930 Standing Liberty Quarters Specifications
Although there were some changes to the design of the Standing Liberty Quarters during the course of the series, the basic specifications remained the same. Coins are struck in 90% silver and 10% copper. The coins have a weight of 6.25 grams and diameter of 24.3 mm.The inscriptions on the obverse of each coin include "Liberty", "In God We Trust", and the date. The designer's initial "M" for Hermon MacNeil appears on the bottom right gate beside Liberty. The reverse inscriptions include "United States of America", "E Pluribus Unum", and the denomination "Quarter Dollar".
